Congratulations to Lynette Rankin-Tyack.
I am very pleased to inform SQAS members that Lynette
has successfully completed and achieved all the requirements
to up grade to level 3 regional coach. Lynette has been
and still is a great asset to archery on all levels. Lynette
now joins our other 2 regional coaches Kevin Smith and
Keith Manssen.

What is new
Grange Company of
Target Archers has changed the name it will
be known by to Samford Valley Target Archers i.e. SVTA.
2013 Shooting Calendar.
The SQAS calendar for 2013 is about to be released in
the next few weeks which will then allow clubs to develop
their shooting calendars. When developed don't forget
to register your 2013 club calendar with the SQAS Recorder.
Archery Queensland
Inc has been formed with SQAS and NQAA as founding
members. Indeed AQ has been recognised by QSport. The
interim management committee is working through a lot
of administrative matters to get the organisation bedded
down ready for the first AGM in 2013. This will include
an invitation to eligible clubs to make application
to join as member clubs. Any questions in the mean time
can be directed to me as interim President of AQ.

Jo has mastered some of the
"Black Arts" and there are now regular updates
of the Silver Arrow results, etc.

Records - We
now have the records that are displayed linked to a database
and it automatically updates when the records are updated.
(There are requirements for records so they do not update
as soon as they are shot.)

Call for EOI to host the Indoor
Championships in 2013
Hi SQAS Clubs,
Expressions of Interest are hereby called for conducting
the SQAS (and the local AA) Indoor Archery Championships
in 2013.
Clubs interested should lodge their EOI preferably electronically
with Strafford Stark stark@bigpond.net.au by the 1 November
2012.
The EOI should include who would be the club's principal
coordinator for the event, where and how the event would
be hosted, the capacity of the venue and the infrastructure
to be in place including lighting and butts, the proposed
format and flight arrangements, the fees proposed, the
basis of revenue sharing and all costs that would be charged
to SQAS.
The EOI will be assessed on the basis of the above information
and on the service that will provide to the archers. In
addition consideration will be given to the location,
format, capacity, quality of butts and lighting, revenue
and costs.
It is noted that there was approximate 105 archers participating
this year, the event is growing in popularity, and it
is expected that numbers will continue to grow.

Indoors
Archers,
Please check which flight you are in and note that times
stated for starting (0800/1200 hrs) are for equipment
inspection. Due to the large increase in numbers of archers
both flights will be shot in AB/CD (alternate) formation.
Due to the increase in scoring and shooting time the flights
will take slightly longer to complete.
Please also check that your entry details are correct.
Name, club, age division, bowtype.
There will also be lunch available both days at the venue.
A local community group will be running a BBQ lunch. So
please consider giving them your support.
